Candidate Matt Rogan

Matt Rogan Beeston & Holbeck

Beeston and Holbeck Ward

About Matt

Matt Rogan is the candidate for Beeston and Holbeck, where he works hard for his local community (including Cottingley, Elland Road, Beeston, Holbeck, and the Urban Village) as well as collaborating closely with local Green campaigners and councillors in the sister ward of Hunslet and Riverside.

A committed campaigner, Matt has a wealth of experience and several years of activism under his belt. This includes fighting to save libraries from cuts, lobbying for better public transport, and fighting residents’ corner on air & noise pollution, tree loss, waste & litter, and planning battles.

Matt knows what works and how to enact change to make politics work for everybody, including those who face the toughest challenges being part of the most marginalised communities. He is passionate and eager to support his local community and help residents as best as he can.

Ahead of the 2024 elections campaign, Matt says:

“A massive thanks to everyone I’ve worked with to make a difference already. I hope that, if elected, I can continue making a difference from the Leeds Council chamber. My best wishes and good luck to all candidates running in this ward. Let’s work towards a fairer, greener politics! If you want this too, I hope I can count on your support.”
