About Anna

Previously a lawyer with a background in civil liberties and road traffic collision cases, Anna says “I am no stranger to casework, advocacy and really listening to what is being said.”
As well as raising her two young children and volunteering in a local charity shop in Wetherby, Anna also works as a case worker for a refugee support organisation so is very experienced in speaking out and taking action where it is needed most.

I want to be a part of the change to make our Wetherby and the surrounding villages a better place. We are so lucky to live in beautiful surroundings, but that doesn’t mean that it is without its problems or cannot be improved. I want to use my skills to properly represent residents, to really listen and help individuals to take action and make a difference to the quality of lives. That would be a privilege

As well as taking action locally, Anna is keen to work with others and use her voice, if elected, to make sure that the needs of the people of Wetherby are at the forefront where decisions are made.

• Promoting safer and more accessible options for active travel.

Environmental Initiatives

• Campaigning for better air quality.
• Advocating for cleaner rivers so residents can safely enjoy local spaces.

Accessibility Improvements

• Promoting safer and more accessible options for active travel.
• Collaborating with local organizations and Leeds City Council to enhance facilities for the disabled.
• Efforts include securing a Changing Places Toilet, adding stoma shelves in publicly accessible toilets, and improving disabled parking options.
