Members of Leeds Green Party joined a demonstration in Leeds on Saturday in support of refugees and migrants, following a recent incident in Armley. Jaimes Moran was one the attendees saying “It's important to attend solidarity protests, they remind us that each and every individual person counts, even more so in the case of those who are unjustly scapegoated, made to feel unwanted, or worse actually harmed as a result.”
Rachel Hartshorne, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Officer said 'We are deeply concerned about the rise in xenophobia in particular the attack on a Polish man in Armley, and fully support the recent Leeds Stand Up to Racism statement, full text at standuptoracism.wordpress.com.
